3-5 pics from academic shoot

Academic Shoot Pictures

Ms. Feen helping a student

1. This picture has the rule of balance because Ms. Feen, the student, and the weighing instrument are all forming a geometric shape. Also, their arms are forming lines to draw attention to the green color in the right side of the picture.
2. The subject is Ms. Feen because she is furthest front in the picture, so it draws attention to her.
3. It is clear to people looking at the picture because of Ms. Feen's bright earring drawing attention to her face, and how she is furthest front.
4. I think it's clear what the subject is, but one thing that could have helped differentiate the subject from the student would be having the shirt prints different because they kind of merge together.

Student with ruler

1. This picture has balance because of the shape the ruler forms with the student's arm leading up to it. Additionally, the picture has simplicity.
2. I think the subject is the slanted ruler because it is in the center of the pictured it's a different shape than everything else.
3. The subject is obvious because of the line leading to it, and the fact that it is in the center of the picture. It's also a different color than everything else in the picture.
4. I think the subject could have been emphasized better if I had put it in a different angle so it would be the main option for the eyes to go to.

Students looking to window

1. This picture has the rule of lines because the heads and the desks are all pointing to the outside window.
2. The subject is the window/the greenery outside the window because that is where the lines are leading to, and the contrast in brightness draws the eyes.
3. I think the subject of this picture is clear because no other additional subjects are very prominent. The light bouncing of the window differentiates it from other things in the picture.
4. I don't think I could have done very much to this picture to make the window stand out, but I might have taken the picture from a slightly lower angle instead of something so flat to improve the picture overall.

Student thinking

1. This picture is definitely simplicity because the background is heavily blurred out, and there is only one primary thing to look at, which is the boy.
2. The subject is the boy who is thinking in the picture, because the background is blurred, making him appear the most forward in the picture. Also the pencil draws a line to the boy's face which makes him even more so the subject.
3. I think the subject is very clear because it is the only thing that the viewers are really look at because the picture is so simple.
4. I think the subject is very clear in the picture because again, the picture is so simple. Also, the boy is in the center of the picture, and therefore the center of attention.

Comments

  1. These are excellent. I really like the one with the teacher, lots of energy and emotion. They are really concentrating. Good work.
